Why “Unwind”?

My favourite part of the day is when it’s all over and I get to take my work clothes off, jump in the shower and get dressed in my “unwinding” outfit. Honestly, if I could spend most of my day dressed like this I would. And then I thought… “Why not create something that I can sleep in, but still feel comfortable to lounge in at home with other people around?” An all-in-one unwinding outfit. So here it is!

My designs are inspired by all my fellow unwinders who also love to get into something more comfortable.

100% linen draws heat away from the body, keeping you cooler in the warmer months and gives warmth during the cold months of the year. It has great heat conductivity. Comfortably fabulous!

How it’s made

Linen needs some extra tender love and care before it can be made into a garment. The fabric gets pre-washed in lukewarm water, dried and ironed before it can be sewed into perfection. Once the garment is made, it is steamed and packed to be sent to your front door.

Depending on your location and the order amount, the standard lead time for this process and courier is usually around 5-10 working days. With all great things in life, we have to wait a bit longer to get it, but once we do, it was usually totally worth the wait. Every garment is sewn to perfection, personalised with embroidery (if requested) and made with 100% natural fibres.

Why Linen?

Linen is one of the most sought after of the plant-based fabrics and it has many amazing qualities like:

  • Linen can absorb up to 20% of its weight in moisture. It draws heat away from the body, keeping you cooler in the warmer months and gives warmth during the cold months of the year. Linen clothes will retain the heat from your body and release the excess, making you feel cosy and comfortable.
  • Linen is a very strong fabric and that makes it durable and abrasion resistant.
  • Linen is lightweight, breathable, cosy and feels great on your skin.
  • Because of the natural flax, it is the better fabric choice for people struggling with allergic reactions.
  • Since linen is made of flax, it will reduce or eliminate the static electricity effect.
  • Linen clothes will not lose their shape after washing, in fact, they will become softer and more pleasant to the skin over time.
  • Linen doesn’t need to be ironed to look good. High-quality linen is wrinkly and those wrinkles are part of its beauty.
  • Linen falls under the ‘sustainable fashion’ category, because the flax plant (what linen is made of) is sustainable. Flax plants are very resilient, it can grow in poor soil, and requires very little water. Also, every single part of the flax plant is used in making all types of products. Linen is also recyclable and biodegradable.
  • Our linen sleepwear is designed to have a loose-fit (a very linen-like style) and this makes it perfect for people of all ages, sizes, and shapes.

Frequently asked questions

We ship nationwide at a flat rate. The courier costs are included in the garment’s price. No extra costs for shipping will be added. The courier will take around 2-3 working days depending on your location. You can track your parcel by entering the waybill number you receive in your order confirmation email from Unwind on the Aramex website tracking area.

Personalised sleepwear orders will have a 5-10 working day lead-time from the date that the payment reflects in the company’s bank account.

In the case of a bulk order (4 or more garments), the lead time will be longer. In this case, we will be in touch with you and let you know when your parcel can be expected.

Please select carefully by using our size guide as we do not accept refunds or exchanges on personalised sleepwear sets. Our guide is very accurate and we have extra length options as well. Please be sure to measure yourself according to our size guide before placing your order.

If you have purchased sleepwear without any custom embroidery, you are welcome to a store credit. We unfortunately do not accept refunds.

If a non-embroidery item needs to be exchanged, the customer is liable for the arrangement of courier and costs to return the item to us. The customer will also be liable for the courier arrangements and costs to receive the new garment.

Unwind will offer clients an exchange or refund if we deem items to be faulty but not if the damage is caused by the client. Please email admin@unwindlinen.co.za with photos of the faulty item. This must be made within 48 hours of the product/s being delivered. If we confirm that it is faulty, the client must return the product/s within 7 days of delivery. In this scenario, Unwind will be liable for the courier pick-up and re-sending of the new parcel.

All exchanges must happen within 7 working days from receiving your order.
